Turbulent wake behind an F1 car. Following closely disrupts airflow over the following car's wings and floor, reducing grip significantly and making close racing inherently difficult.
Ground Effect

Aerodynamic downforce generated by the shaped underfloor creating low pressure beneath the car. Banned in the 1980s, returned in limited form via diffuser design, fully restored in 2022 regulations.
